The issue pertaining to the legality of distributing the Kim Kardashian and Ray J Sextape has been tackled long enough. Needless to say, distributing copies of the said sex tape is illegal per se. There should no longer be any need to explain it, but for the benefit of those who do not understand or those who do not want to then it will be explained in a brief manner. There are numerous points to consider as regards the legality and the top two are the consent of the parties involved and the manner by which the copies are being distributed.
Firstly, in order not to be considered illegal or a subject of plagiarism or piracy, the parties relating into a video must first give their consent to the distribution. If no consent is given then the act is illegal in itself. If one party gives consent and the other does not then the consent is lacking or wanting. All parties in a video must first be consulted and their consent secured in order not to trample upon their rights as human beings as guaranteed by the constitution of the US and other countries. This is a fact that cannot be ignored by anybody especially in this day and age of modernization.
Secondly, the manner of distribution must not be done thru illegal means. Examples of such means include pirated DVDs and VCDs and illegal distribution via the internet and the World Wide Web. Only the parties involved in the video can have the exclusive right to distributing such controversial material. Other people doing so thru any of the aforementioned means can be considered guilty of piracy. The long arm of the law can deal with such individuals, ensuring that the distribution of the Kim Kardashian and Ray J Sextape remains under wraps, without any form of exception whatsoever.
